Staff from The Green Dental Practice, Dines Green, Worcester are this week taking their services out to the local YMCA. On Wednesday 29th February, the practice manager, lead dentist and dental nurse will be staffing a mobile dental unit for the benefit of over 70 YMCA residents.
During the day, people staying at or visiting the YMCA will be able to have a dental health check with the dentist and given the opportunity to register with The Green Dental Practice for their routine dental care.

Families and individuals wishing to register for NHS dental treatment at either the current Dines Green site or the new premises in St Johns should contact the dental practice on 01905 426311 or

Primecare clinicians and call-handlers are currently being trained in NHS Pathways which is due to be implemented in two of Primecare's out of hours services later this month. NHS Pathways is the clinical system that is currently being used in NHS 111 services. Rolling out NHS Pathways in parts of our out of hours service, means we are fully able to model the impact of this system on patient care and referrals.

GPs in Berkshire are calling for all call handlers who will be talking to patients in the new NHS 111 service to have CRB checks -

Across all of Primecare’s services, including out of hours, everyone has a full CRB check. We think that people who are dealing with patients face to face, even those who have no direct contact, but have access to patient information should also be CRB checked. Patients and customers can be assured that Primecare provides safe, high quality services, and we will continue to do so as we develop provision of NHS 111.
As part of preparation for NHS 111, Primecare has signed an agreement with NHS Pathways and will begin piloting the system in parts of our service in early 2012. NHS Pathways is the system of choice for NHS 111 and the Primecare pilot will enable detailed modelling to understand the impact of NHS Pathways on our current services.
